Seeing Stars Workshop with Nicky Griffiths

Nicky Griffiths, of Quilts to Treasure, will be joining us at The Corner Patch, to teach two workshops in November and December.

On the second workshop, scheduled for Saturday 7 December, Nicky will be teaching her Seeing Stars block.

Nicky designed this block when she was commissioned to make a quilt for a customer.

The block could be used for cushion covers, or multiple blocks put together for a quilt.

There are several ways in which the blocks can be laid out, giving a variety of options and different looks.

One of the pictures shows the block in Christmas fabrics – wouldn’t that make a stunning Christmas table runner or centre piece.

A layer cake can be used to construct the block, or it can be cut from fat quarters.

Fabrics should be chosen that give a strong light and dark visual contrast.
