These batiks from the World of Stripes collection by Robert Kaufman are really difficult to photograph and describe.
Each of the different coloured fabrics contains a plethora of colours in broad (approximately 0.5 inch) irregular stripes. I have included extra photos to give you a better idea of how it looks.
Irregular stripes are so forgiving – the natural, soft variation along the edges makes sewing so much easier!
The stripes run across the width of the fabric.
These fabrics are a fine cotton and will be useful for all your patchwork projects – with lots of variation for fussy cutting from different parts of the fabric.
They will also be beautiful when used in dressmaking projects – summer skirts and trousers, dresses and tops.
This colour is Pumpkin .
The colours in the fabric are shades of orange, peach, honey, and light brown, all blending subtly into each other.
