Join Chris for a relaxing, mindful and creative four hours enjoying the process of hand stitching and sewing.
Slow Stitching involves taking time to connect with different materials, explore different textures and experience the meditative nature of repeating simple stitches.
The emphasis is on ‘process’ rather than result.
Chris will take you through various techniques to produce a stitched textile layout that can later be framed or developed further into a variety of projects.
Chris will have samples of some of these projects on display.
All resources will be provided. You only need to bring a basic sewing kit.
All The Corner Patch workshops, classes and Sit & Sew sessions are held in the air-conditioned workroom above the shop.
Janome A100QDC sewing machines are provided for students’ use, along with rotary cutter, rulers and cutting mats.
Scissors, pins etc. are available but you may prefer to bring your own basic sewing kit if possible.
Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.
Other dates are constantly being added; please contact us if you want to attend a particular course but you can’t make the available dates.
