Some gorgeous new cotton and linen mix fabrics have arrived, just in time for spring and summer makes.
These fabrics are perfect for dressmaking as the natural fibres mean that they are cool and comfortable to wear, while having a lovely weight and drape.
The benefit of cotton is that the fabrics don’t crease like linen. You can wear a garment all day and still look smart.
This fabric has a pale ‘duck egg’ background, not blue and not green, and a gentle pattern of sprigs of foliage and flowers in greys and cream.
The sprigs are approximately 3 inches long so this makes a subtle design rather than bold.
